Monica Weese
Growing up, Monica’s family meals involved laughter, full glasses, and the occasional stolen sip of Port from her Portuguese grandfather, who swore it would put hair on her chest. (It didn’t.) That start set her on a two-decade journey, from serving as a sommelier to harvest internships in New Zealand, Australia, Provence, Paso Robles, and Sonoma. In France, walking the vines and studying the soil changed her understanding of the craft and made her a passionate advocate for organic farming. Since then, Monica has worked with vineyards across multiple continents, for luxury Napa wineries including Far Niente and Orin Swift, always sourcing from growers who share her respect for the land. RASP is the culmination of her journey: a love of organic vineyards, and a desire to share the joy wine brings into life.

William Weese
Will believes great wine starts in the vineyard, and that farming with care for the land is what makes the difference in the glass.
Born and raised in Santa Rosa, he built his passion for winemaking harvest by harvest, with formative cellar experiences spanning the globe from Bordeaux, New Zealand, and Chile to Napa and Sonoma. With nearly two decades of experience crafting exceptional wines across California and beyond, Will currently serves as head winemaker at three estates in addition to RASP, where he practices his commitment to organic viticulture and thoughtful, minimal intervention in the cellar. His work reflects a lifelong commitment to quality winemaking rooted in both Old World tradition and the vibrant terroir of Sonoma County.
